Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, Receives Appreciation Plaque from Czech Ambassador to Korea (Gustav Slamecka) Who Visited Nowon District Office on the 21st
On the afternoon of the 21st at 2 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, received an appreciation plaque from the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Korea for his generous support of the Czech Jamboree participants.
The Czech Ambassador to Korea (Gustav Slamecka), who visited the Nowon District Office, presented the prepared appreciation plaque from the Czech Embassy to the district. Books related to the Czech Republic, as well as beer, wine, and chocolate made in the Czech Republic, were also delivered.
This appreciation plaque was awarded in recognition of the unwavering support provided over five nights and six days to approximately 400 Czech Jamboree participants who traveled from Saemangeum, Jeonbuk, to Seoul starting from the 8th.
The district responded promptly through cooperation with the local community. Detailed arrangements for experiential and cultural programs, meals, interpretation, transportation, and safety were meticulously managed to provide a fulfilling schedule in Nowon District.
The plaque presentation ceremony was held in the mayor’s office, where the Czech Ambassador to Korea and others visited, followed by a commemorative photo session.
The district welcomed the Czech Ambassador and others from the lobby on the first floor of the district office. As a token of gratitude for the appreciation plaque, they presented an album documenting the activities of the Czech Jamboree participants, a signature craft beer set that was well received at the first Nowon Craft Beer Festival held in June, and Yuja syrup, a specialty product from Goheung that is popular in the Czech Republic.
Gustav Slamecka, Czech Ambassador to Korea, expressed his gratitude again, saying, “Despite the tight schedule of the Czech Jamboree participants, you prepared an astonishing amount. Even now, the Czech participants are sending their thanks to the embassy for Nowon District.”
