The Sinan Solar Salt Producers Association (President Lee Cheolsun) announced a resolution on the 21st at the lawn square of Sinan County Office to stabilize the prices of solar salt, which have recently experienced significant fluctuations.

Through the resolution, the association stated, "Maintaining an appropriate price level similar to last year in a stable manner will benefit both producers and consumers."
They pledged, "From the perspective of solar salt producers, we will strive to maximize production to ensure a stable supply and actively work toward stabilizing prices at the production site. To this end, we will refrain from sales through opaque distribution channels."
In particular, they urged, "We demand government measures to stabilize solar salt prices following the recent issue of the discharge of radioactive water from the Japanese nuclear power plant."

Meanwhile, Sinan County, which accounts for more than 80% of the national solar salt production, has 749 fishing households producing approximately 230,000 tons of solar salt annually over 2,166 hectares, and this year, production has proceeded smoothly after the monsoon season due to favorable weather.
