Artist Seo Chaeyoung does not meticulously plan her works by drawing preliminary sketches; instead, she expresses delicate emotions felt through life experiences and encounters with various people spontaneously on the canvas. Through this approach, she has long created works that communicate her emotions with viewers beyond the confines of small frames.
In particular, her free-spirited drip painting technique and the spreading of colors allow viewers to appreciate the diverse emotions in her works as they change moment by moment.
The solo exhibition features over 30 works, including pieces expressing the beauty of people like flowers such as "Hope for Goodness," "Forget-Me-Not," "Self-Portrait," "In Search of Blooming Spring," "Love," and "Looking at the Sky."
Kim Geonsu, director of the Mokpo National University Museum, stated, "We will continue to discover local artists to revitalize the cultural and artistic functions of university museums, which have been stagnant due to COVID-19, and strive to transform the university museum into a regional cultural hub."
