Top LPGA Tour players such as Lilia Vu, Nelly Korda (both from the United States), and Ko Jin-young are mostly absent from this tournament.
Joo Subin recorded four birdies, one bogey, and one double bogey. She started strong with consecutive birdies on holes 1 and 2 but was abruptly halted by a double bogey on hole 3 (par 4). She then cruised with birdies on holes 9 and 14 before losing another stroke on hole 17 (par 4). Joo Subin is a rookie who debuted on the LPGA Tour this year. Her personal best finish is a tie for 6th at the ShopRite Classic in June, and she ranks 111th on the money list with $95,993.
