Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) is launching a program to train face painting specialist volunteers.
From September to November, the district will conduct the ‘Face Painting Specialist Volunteer Training’ to nurture residents with enthusiasm and talent for volunteering into professional volunteers.
The purpose is to provide professional education to residents who wish to volunteer, thereby fostering new volunteers and linking them to various local activities such as festivals, so they can give back to the community.
The training is designed to be immediately applicable, covering everything from basic to advanced face painting techniques, and will be held every Tuesday from September 12 to November 7, for a total of 8 sessions.
Any Jungnang-gu resident who can commit to volunteering for at least one year after completing the training can participate, with 20 spots available. Residents wishing to become specialist volunteers can apply by visiting the Jungnang-gu Volunteer Center or via email starting August 21.
Participants must attend at least 5 out of the 8 sessions to complete the training, after which they will serve as members of the face painting direct volunteer team. They will volunteer at various local events such as the Seoul Rose Festival and Yongma Waterfall Culture and Arts Festival.
