Jindo-gun Conducts Resident Registration Fact-Finding Survey... Non-Face-to-Face and Digital Visit Survey
Operating the Reporting Period for Unregistered Birth Children Together
Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do is conducting the 2023 Resident Registration Fact-Finding Survey.
According to the county on the 16th, the resident registration fact-finding survey is conducted at least once a year nationwide to verify whether the registered address matches the actual residence. This survey period also includes a reporting period for unregistered births.
The county will conduct a non-face-to-face digital survey until the 20th, and thereafter, village chiefs and eup/myeon public officials will conduct on-site visits to verify residences.
The non-face-to-face digital survey was introduced last year to accommodate the increasing number of dual-income and single-person households, making on-site visits difficult. Survey participants can participate through the Government24 app.
The on-site visits will be conducted from the 21st to October 10th, targeting households that did not participate in the non-face-to-face digital survey and those included in the focused investigation group.
The focused investigation group includes households such as △ welfare-vulnerable high-risk groups △ suspected deceased persons △ long-term absentees and school-age children not attending school △ centenarians aged 100 or older △ and those missing for more than five years.
In particular, during this fact-finding survey period, an anonymous and voluntary reporting period for unregistered births will be operated until October 31st.
Additionally, a special task force (TF) for supporting unregistered births will be formed. If unregistered births are identified, integrated services such as birth registration, emergency welfare, and legal support will be provided.
A representative from the Civil Service Department of Jindo-gun stated, “If voluntary reporting is made during the survey period, fines can be reduced by up to 80%, so we will strengthen guidance and publicity to ensure that no residents suffer disadvantages. We ask for the active cooperation of residents for accurate resident registration statistics.”
