Sejong Telecom Selected as Supplier for 'Smart K-Factory' Shared Hub Service
Sejong Telecom (CEO Lee Byung-guk) announced on the 16th that it has been selected as a supplier company for the Smart K-Factory Sharing Hub Service, a smart industrial complex sharing platform operated by the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation.
The Smart K-Factory Sharing Hub Service is a platform that supplies IT services necessary for manufacturing operations to over 200,000 demand and supply companies registered in smart industrial complexes nationwide. It provides services divided into seven areas: ▲manufacturing matching ▲transportation ▲business consulting ▲education and books ▲software (SW) ▲safety and environment ▲logistics and equipment.
With this selection, Sejong Telecom will provide a Smart Safety Solution for safety management at construction and manufacturing sites. The solution offers various services such as ▲intelligent video management ▲smart video broadcasting ▲access and exit management ▲hoist safety management ▲portable gas and fire smoke management ▲heavy equipment safety management ▲opening and tilt sensor management ▲environment and civil complaint management ▲communication sharing ▲tunnel management, helping proactive management through real-time detection and two-way communication between the site and the control room.
Previously, sites had difficulties in maintenance and repair as access control, general CCTV, etc., were introduced separately through individual companies. However, Sejong Telecom’s Smart Safety Solution is an all-in-one solution based on its own platform, enabling everything from product production to delivery and management. Moreover, it can be customized to fit each site, minimizing onsite safety and health risks and enabling effective response to industrial accidents.
Kang Hyo-sang, Head of the Telecommunications Business Division at Sejong Telecom, stated, “Starting next year, the Serious Accident Punishment Act will apply to workplaces with fewer than 50 employees, making the creation of safe and healthy workplaces a top priority for companies. Based on the various know-how accumulated since last year by delivering smart safety platform solutions to construction sites, we will take the lead in creating safe environments for construction and manufacturing companies through participation in the Smart K-Factory Sharing Hub project.”

Meanwhile, Sejong Telecom signed a contract last July with Taeyoung Construction to supply a smart safety platform solution optimized for compliance with the Serious Accident Punishment Act. This solution integrates access control, CCTV, gas detection, and various sensors into one comprehensive management system for sites. It can be introduced at all sites where industrial accidents may occur, such as factories, production lines, logistics centers, and warehouses. Furthermore, in August last year, Sejong Telecom successfully carried out a demonstration project to build a digital safety platform based on a 5G specialized network, earning recognition as a leader in the safety field.
