Jungnang-gu, 2024 Resident Participatory Budget Resident Voting
Jungnang-gu, Resident Voting for Selection of 2024 Resident Participatory Budget Projects
Resident voting from August 16 to 25: Choose 10 projects out of a total of 31 projects, including 15 in the resident life sector and 16 in the urban construction sector
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) will conduct an online resident voting for the 2024 Jungnang-gu Resident Participatory Budget from August 16 to 25.
The resident participatory budgeting system is held annually to guarantee resident participation by providing residents with the opportunity to directly participate in budget allocation and decide the budget themselves, aiming to solve local issues.
This time, a total of 31 projects are subject to resident voting. From March to May, the district received resident-proposed projects through an open call, then selected the projects for voting after review by the relevant departments and deliberation by the Resident Participation Committee.
The selected projects consist of 15 projects in the resident life sector, including resident autonomy, culture and sports, and living economy, and 16 projects in the urban construction sector, including roads, parks, environment, and parking.
Voting is open to Jungnang-gu residents, workers, and students located in Jungnang-gu, and is conducted via the Seoul M-Voting application or website. Each person can vote for up to 10 projects.
The projects finally selected will be reflected in the 2024 budget through the council’s budget review.
