An active-duty coast guard officer who abandoned his girlfriend's body in a bathroom after killing her and fled has been urgently arrested.
The Mokpo Police Station in Jeonnam urgently arrested coast guard officer A (30) on the 15th on suspicion of murder for killing and fleeing from a woman he was dating.
A is suspected of killing a woman in her 30s who was found dead in a bathroom of a commercial building in Sang-dong, Mokpo-si, Jeonnam, around 6 a.m. that day.
The victim was found dead, collapsed with blood on her face.
The police investigating the case reviewed CCTV footage and discovered A's whereabouts with the victim shortly before the incident, analyzing his movements over two days and identifying him as a suspect.

During the police investigation, A confessed to the crime, saying, "I had a fight with the victim I was dating, and in a moment of anger, I struck her and then strangled her." The police plan to apply for an arrest warrant for A after securing additional evidence.
