Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Euisun Receives 3.25 Billion KRW Salary in First Half of the Year
Receiving Salary at Hyundai Motor Company and Hyundai Mobis
Chung Eui-sun, Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, received a total compensation of 3.25 billion KRW from affiliated companies in the first half of the year.
According to the semi-annual reports of each affiliate on the 16th, Chairman Chung received 2 billion KRW from Hyundai Motor and 1.25 billion KRW in salary from Hyundai Mobis in the first half, maintaining the same compensation amount as last year.
Hyundai Motor explained, "Taking into account job position and rank (CEO/Chairman), length of service, leadership, expertise, company contribution, and talent development comprehensively, the total salary was set at 4 billion KRW, and 2 billion KRW was paid from January to June."
Chairman Chung is also listed as a registered executive at Kia but does not receive compensation there.

At Hyundai Motor, President Jose Munoz received a compensation of 1.08 billion KRW. This was the result of receiving 5,000 common shares according to the contract based on his performance as the Global Chief Operating Officer (COO). President Jang Jae-hoon received a compensation of 709 million KRW.
