On this day, the campaign was a broad civic street campaign firmly opposing the relocation of Gwangju Military Airport to Muan. About 40 women members from each village in Cheonggye-myeon participated, doing their best to spread opposition despite the heatwave.
Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun, who joined the street campaign, stated, "The relocation of Gwangju Military Airport to Muan County can never happen," adding, "We will faithfully reflect the opinions of the residents and stand with them to prevent the relocation of the military airport."
Meanwhile, council members Kim Bong-seong, Im Yoon-taek, and Jung Eun-kyung also participated in the campaign, sharing the same sentiment.
