It will be developed in two phases: phase 1 by 2030 and phase 2 by 2040, including 6 berths, 3.5 km of breakwater, 16.3 km of revetment, and 4.1 km of roads, with a total investment of 3.2 trillion won.
A comprehensive medical facility, ‘Gunsan Jeonbuk National University Hospital,’ will also be built in Sajung-dong, 3.7 km from the project site. It is planned to be constructed on a site of about 100,000㎡ with 3 basement floors and 10 floors above ground, accommodating 500 beds, with construction starting this year and aiming for completion by late 2026 or the first half of 2027.
