Weather Agency Issues Heatwave Advisory Nationwide at 10 AM
The Korea Meteorological Administration issued a heatwave advisory for most regions nationwide, including Seoul, as of 10 a.m. on the 13th.

A heatwave advisory is issued when the highest daily perceived temperature is expected to remain at or above 33 degrees Celsius for two or more consecutive days.
In the Seoul area, heatwave advisories were issued for △Southeast area (Gangdong-gu, Songpa-gu, Gangnam-gu, Seocho-gu) △Northeast area (Dobong-gu, Nowon-gu, Gangbuk-gu, Seongbuk-gu, Dongdaemun-gu, Jungnang-gu, Seongdong-gu, Gwangjin-gu) △Southwest area (Gangseo-gu, Yangcheon-gu, Guro-gu, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Dongjak-gu, Gwanak-gu, Geumcheon-gu) △Northwest area (Eunpyeong-gu, Jongno-gu, Mapo-gu, Seodaemun-gu, Jung-gu, Yongsan-gu).
Additionally, heatwave advisories were issued for △Gyeonggi-do (excluding Gimpo, Yeoncheon, Goyang, Paju) △Incheon (excluding Ganghwa and Ongjin counties) △Gangwon-do (Hongcheon plain, Chuncheon, Inje plain, northern Gangwon mountainous areas) △Daejeon △Sejong △Jeju-do (western Jeju Island) △Chungcheongnam-do (Gongju, Asan, Nonsan, Buyeo, Cheongyang, Yesan, Dangjin, Hongseong) △Chungcheongbuk-do (Cheongju, Okcheon, Yeongdong, Chungju, Jincheon, Jeungpyeong) △Jeollanam-do (Damyang, Gokseong, Jangseong, Yeosu, Gwangyang, Gangjin, Haenam, Yeongam, Hampyeong, Yeonggwang, Mokpo, Heuksando, Hongdo, Geomundo, Chodo) △Jeollabuk-do (excluding Jinan and Jangsu) △Gyeongsangbuk-do (Cheongdo, Goryeong, Seongju, Mungyeong) △Gyeongsangnam-do (Uiryeong, Sancheong, Sacheon, Goseong).

The Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "With rising daytime temperatures and high humidity, the highest perceived temperature will rise to around 33 degrees Celsius in most regions nationwide (except the East Coast), making it very hot. Tropical nights are expected in urban areas, the West Coast, the South Coast, and Jeju Island."
