Seoul National University Science Volunteer Group Operates Science Program for Yeongdeok High School Students
Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, held the "2023 Seoul National University College of Natural Sciences Summer Science Camp" from the 7th for three days at the Yeongdeok Lohas Marine Food Support Center, with over 40 participants including high school students from the region and the Seoul National University College of Natural Sciences Science Volunteer Group.

View original imageThe event featured a special lecture by Yoo Jae-jun, Dean of the College of Natural Sciences at Seoul National University, along with various programs conducted by the Science Volunteer Group such as science experiments, discussions, recreational activities, and mentoring on college entrance exams and career paths, which heightened students' interest in science and encouraged their enthusiasm for studies.
Although the original five-day schedule was shortened to three days for safety due to the northward approach of Typhoon "Khanun," the Science Volunteer Group extended their sessions beyond the planned hours each day, demonstrating passion to teach and provide more experiences to the students, thereby increasing the satisfaction of local students.
