Jeongeup-si to Recruit Participants for 'Youth Startup Support Project' Until the 21st

Jeongeup City in Jeollabuk-do is providing startup funds to young entrepreneurs as part of the Jeongeup-style Local Youth Startup Package Support Project.

On the 11th, the city announced that it will hold a public contest for the "Jeongeup City Youth Startup Support Project" to promote youth independence and establish a settlement foundation.

The support targets are young people (aged 18 to 45) residing in Jeongeup City as of the announcement date (August 7), who are prospective or early-stage young entrepreneurs within one year, equipped with capabilities through completion of startup education and consulting.

The city plans to select those who have completed youth startup capacity-building consulting conducted at the Jeongeup City Youth Support Center as the first priority, and those who have completed government or city-led startup education and consulting as the second priority.

The total number of recruits is 10, and applications can be submitted in person with documents to the City Hall Job Policy Division by the 21st.

Youth entrepreneurs selected through the contest will receive 5 million KRW to support the establishment and remodeling of their business space in the first year.

In the 2nd and 3rd years, to alleviate the burden of operating expenses, funds up to 5 million KRW per year will be provided for two years for materials, promotion, rent, etc., with a maximum support amount of 15 million KRW planned.

Mayor Lee Hak-su said, "I hope this project will serve as an opportunity to lay the foundation for local job creation," and added, "We will make further efforts so that many talented individuals in Jeongeup can successfully settle without leaving the region."
