In the statement, Daegu Bank claimed, "After receiving a complaint related to this matter in June, the Financial Consumer Protection Department discovered suspicious cases of improper business practices during the complaint handling process," adding, "We referred the case to the inspection department and began an internal investigation, conducting a full survey of similar cases to verify the facts and proceed with individual employee explanations."
Daegu Bank further stated, "Immediately after the inspection department became aware, a special audit was initiated and conducted according to normal internal control procedures, with no intentional delay or concealment of reports," and expressed its position that "any actions violating principles of ethical management will be strictly dealt with going forward."
