The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission Operates a Focused Reporting Period on Poor Construction and Former Official Collusion in Public Housing Projects
The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) announced that from the 10th to October 8th, it will establish a reporting center to receive focused reports on corruption and public interest violations across all construction phases related to public housing projects, including ordering, bidding, design, construction, and supervision.

View original imageThe subjects of reporting include cases such as "LH retirees involved in design, construction, and supervision companies participating in LH-ordered projects causing poor construction," "negligence in ordering, design, construction, supervision, and illegal subcontracting," and "illegal lending of construction licenses and national technical certifications," covering corruption and public interest violations arising throughout public housing projects.
Any citizen can report to the ACRC by providing their personal information, the purpose of the report, and evidence related to corruption or public interest violations. Reports can be submitted by visiting the ACRC, by mail, or through the internet 'Integrity Portal' website.
Reporters are protected from disadvantages through strict confidentiality of their identity. They can also receive protective measures such as restoration and personal security from the ACRC against any disadvantages or threats to life·and physical safety that may arise from reporting. In particular, reporters can use the anonymous proxy reporting system to report through a lawyer without revealing their identity, and internal whistleblowers can also report through a lawyer free of charge.
If direct recovery of public institution revenue occurs due to the report, the reporter may receive a reward of up to 3 billion KRW based on their contribution, and if they contribute to public interest promotion, they may receive a commendation reward of up to 500 million KRW.
