Ulsan City and KB Kookmin Bank Hold Donation Ceremony to Bridge Educational Gap
Donation of 100 Million KRW to Green Umbrella, Supporting a Total of 48 People
One-on-One Mentoring Program for Middle and University Students
On the 10th at 2:30 PM, Ulsan City will hold the '2023 KB Dream Up Mentoring Project Donation Ceremony' in the mayor's office to help close the educational gap for children from low-income families in the Ulsan area.
Attending the ceremony are Kim Du-gyeom, Mayor of Ulsan; Kim Dong-rok, Head of Institutional Customer Group at KB Kookmin Bank; Lee Hyuk, Head of Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam Regional Group at KB Kookmin Bank; Choi Kyung-hoon, Manager of Institutional Sales Department at KB Kookmin Bank; Hong Jong-gun, Regional Head of Ulsan Regional Headquarters at KB Kookmin Bank; and Kim Dong-hwan, Head of Ulsan Regional Headquarters at Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation.
The donated funds will be used through Green Umbrella for the online learning support program, the '2023 KB Dream Up Mentoring Project.'
This project connects 48 middle school students in the Ulsan area who need educational support with students from prestigious universities located in the Seoul metropolitan area, conducting a 1:1 online mentoring program over six months.
The mentoring program focuses on basic subjects tailored to the children's needs, and tablet PCs will be provided for the program.
