Until the morning of the 9th, the Jamboree participants rested at their accommodations without any special schedule, and from the afternoon, they enjoyed cultural activities according to the schedule prepared by the district in groups.
The members who visited the Seoul Korean Medicine Promotion Center located in Jegi-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, soaked their feet in water infused with seasonal medicinal herbs such as mugwort and licorice under the traditional Hanok pavilion set up in the outdoor space on the second floor, while drinking Korean medicinal tea provided free of charge at the Korean medicine cafe for a foot bath. They also relieved their fatigue by receiving hand acupressure with camellia oil in the cozy Boje-won Korean medicine experience room filled with aromatic scents.
After the Korean medicine experience, the members moved to the first floor of the center and had time to make incense pouches together. The handmade incense pouches were given as gifts.
The group that visited the Dapsimni Film Media Art Center spent a happy time taking photos in front of a green chroma key screen and printing photos with backgrounds customized as they wished. Another group went on a walk along Dongdaemun-gu’s representative walking trails, enjoying forest bathing while walking the Baebongsan Dullegil trail and Hongneung Forest with a forest interpreter.
Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, “Although the time is short, we will actively support the Jamboree participants to make good memories in Dongdaemun and return to their home countries.”
