Gyeonggi-do Expands Medical Expense Benefits for Diligent Taxpayers... Signs MOUs with 6 Hospitals
Gyeonggi Province has added six more affiliated hospitals to enhance benefits for diligent taxpayers. As a result, diligent taxpayers in the province can now receive discounts on medical expenses and health checkup fees at a total of 33 hospitals.
On the 9th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it signed a business agreement on medical expense discounts with six hospitals in the province at the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Office: Myungju Hospital in Yongin City, Seongnam Medical Center in Seongnam City, Pyeongtaek St. Mary's Hospital in Pyeongtaek City, Uijeongbu Eulji University Hospital in Uijeongbu, Wonkwang University Sanbon Hospital in Gunpo City, and Yangju Yes Hospital in Yangju City.
Gyeonggi Province selects diligent taxpayers as those who have no arrears as of January 1 each year and have paid four or more local taxes on time annually for the past seven years, to establish a sound tax payment culture and encourage citizens' willingness to pay taxes diligently.
The province provides diligent taxpayers with benefits such as medical expense discounts at affiliated medical institutions, preferential interest rates at Gyeonggi Province treasury, and fee discounts.
The medical expense support benefits at the hospitals that signed the agreement will apply from the date the agreement was signed. Citizens selected as diligent taxpayers after 2023 will receive various benefits, including discounts on comprehensive health checkup fees, discounts on non-reimbursable medical expenses according to each institution's agreement, and discounts on funeral hall usage fees. This year, 207,750 diligent taxpayers were selected.
