Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) signed a business agreement on August 8 with Geumcheon 50 Plus Center (Director Kim Mi-seong), Brain Academy (CEO Kim Chang-gon), a company developing cognitive training apps for dementia prevention, and Geumcheon-gu Dementia Safety Center (Director Kang Seong-hoon) to jointly promote the ‘Cognitive Training Instructor Training and Dispatch Project.’

The ‘Cognitive Training Instructor Training and Dispatch Project’ is part of the Flower Middle-aged Happiness Creation Project, a pledge of the 8th local government administration. It aims to prevent dementia in the elderly and create jobs for middle-aged adults.

The Geumcheon 50 Plus Center plans to train 80 cognitive training instructors to assist the elderly and dispatch 40 of them as instructors to welfare centers and senior citizen centers. These instructors will conduct cognitive training programs for the elderly using the ‘MindRX’ app developed by Brain Academy.

The Geumcheon-gu Dementia Safety Center will collaborate with local hospitals and clinics to provide dementia prevention services such as memory tests, treatment, and counseling for the elderly.

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, stated, “By carrying out the cognitive training instructor training project, we will establish a virtuous cycle linking welfare and employment. We will continue to strive to create jobs for middle-aged adults.”
