Five Buildings Collapse in Downtown Tehran, Iran... At Least 4 Dead
On the 6th (local time), five newly constructed buildings at a construction site in Tehran, the capital of Iran, collapsed in succession, resulting in at least four deaths so far.
According to the state-run IRNA news agency on the 7th, five buildings under construction in the southern part of Tehran collapsed one after another the previous day. Although the buildings were unoccupied, two police officers and two city officials working nearby were buried under the debris and died. Additionally, 11 survivors were rescued from the rubble and transported to the hospital.
Rescue teams are continuing search operations to find more survivors. Jaral Maleki, spokesperson for the Tehran Fire Department, explained, "Since it is unclear how many people are trapped, the death toll may increase."

The police are investigating construction company officials, suspecting the accident was caused by poor construction.
