Aiming for Customized Language Models for Enterprises
KT is preparing for the commercialization of super-large AI. The plan is to integrate AI technology into various fields such as cloud and business-to-business (B2B) services to enhance customized services.
On the 7th, Kim Young-jin, KT's Chief Financial Officer, stated at the earnings conference call, "Interest in super-large AI is increasing both domestically and internationally," adding, "KT has been advancing the super-large AI ecosystem since 2020 and is preparing for its commercialization."
He explained, "To prepare for the super-large AI business, we are strengthening collaboration with related business departments such as the Convergence Technology Institute and the Cloud division."
He also said, "The super-large AI that KT aims for is an AI that thinks about customers, understands emotions, remembers, and expresses empathy," and added, "In the B2B business, we are targeting language models capable of providing customized services for companies."
Kim stated, "In businesses that integrate AI with cloud services, such as AI contact centers (CC), revenue is already being generated, and we are aiming for sales exceeding 100 billion KRW this year," and continued, "In the mid to long term, through AI communication connecting B2B and B2C (business-to-consumer), we expect sales of 300 billion KRW by 2025."
