Ulsan Ulju-gun Conducts Comprehensive Survey of Facilities Subject to Traffic Inducement Charges
Ulsan Ulju-gun will conduct a full survey of facilities subject to the 2023 Traffic Inducement Charge from the 7th to September 6th to alleviate traffic congestion.
This survey is being promoted to accurately impose charges on facilities that cause traffic congestion based on the polluter pays principle. The Traffic Inducement Charge is imposed once a year, with charges levied in early October and payments made between October 16th and 31st.
The survey targets 273 facilities with a total floor area of 3,000㎡ or more per floor excluding residential use, and an ownership share area of 160㎡ or more. Surveyors will conduct on-site visits and other investigations.
The charge period is from August 1st of last year to July 31st of this year, with the charge reference date being July 31st. Charges are imposed on the registered owner as of the charge reference date. If the facility was not used for 30 days or more during the charge period due to reasons such as business closure, the charge can be reduced upon submission of a non-use report and supporting documents.
