A post threatening to carry out a bomb attack and a knife rampage at Gimhae International Airport was uploaded on an online community, prompting the police to launch an investigation.
The Busan Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 7th at around 12:18 a.m. that a post stating, "I will detonate a bomb at Gimhae Airport and go around with a jackknife to kill everyone," was uploaded on an online community and is currently under investigation.
A police official said, "We are securing CCTV footage to understand the circumstances of the incident and tracking down the author of the post," adding, "To prepare for any possible situation, we will deploy special forces, the Gimhae Airport police unit, and detectives to strengthen searches and patrols."
