Weverse Surpasses 10 Million MAU... World's No.1 Fandom Platform
MAU Reaches 10 Million Four Years After 2019 Launch
Downloads Surpass 100 Million, Ranking First Worldwide
Expanded Lineup and Convenience Services Are the Key
Hive's global fandom platform Weverse has surpassed 10 million monthly active users. It has been four years since its debut in June 2019 as a global fandom life platform. Earlier, Weverse achieved 100 million app downloads on the 13th of last month. The number of monthly active users and downloads shows a steep growth trend that is hard to find in similar fandom platforms both domestically and internationally.
The growth of Weverse is analyzed to be due to expanding the lineup of domestic and international artists, adding fun to communication services, providing exclusive content and online streaming. Currently, over 90% of the total users are overseas users, showing high usage rates not only in North America and Japan but also in Latin America and Southeast Asian countries. The global status of Weverse has been elevated as top-tier overseas artists such as Jeremy Zucker, New Hope Club, Hirate Yurina, AKB48, and IMASE have joined alongside globally recognized stars like BTS and BLACKPINK.
Launching the Weverse Live service in July last year, which added real-time video communication, also led to increased user activity and longer stay times. As of early July, the cumulative number of Weverse Live viewers exceeded 700 million. By the end of last month, including replays, the total cumulative Weverse Live views reached 1.44 billion. Additionally, the introduction of the private chat service ‘Weverse DM’ and the ‘Fan Letter’ feature, which allows users to decorate messages like handwritten letters, has established the platform as one that offers enjoyable communication, increasing user satisfaction.

Choi Jun-won, CEO of Weverse Company, said, “Unlike lifestyle-oriented platforms, achieving 10 million MAU on a fandom life platform is a meaningful growth,” adding, “We will continue to enhance convenience and expand fandom life to become a ‘daily platform for fandoms’ that meets the expectations of global fandoms.”
