Catholic Youth Festival 'World Youth Day' to be Held in Seoul in 2027
The global Catholic faith festival, the "World Youth Day," will be held in Seoul in 2027.
Pope Francis announced on the 6th (local time) at the closing Mass of this year's World Youth Day held at Tejo Park in Lisbon, Portugal, that the next event in 2027 will take place in "Asia, Seoul, Korea." The World Youth Day, which lasts for five or six days, is a large-scale event where hundreds of thousands to millions of Catholic youth from around the world gather in one place.
The Catholic Archdiocese of Seoul in Korea predicts that approximately 700,000 to 1,000,000 people will attend the World Youth Day in Seoul in 2027, including 200,000 to 300,000 overseas participants.
