Jindo County in Jeollanam-do signed a $1 million sales agreement for Jindo agricultural and marine products with My Home Food (CEO Richard Kim) in Australia on the 4th.
According to the county on the 5th, through the Australian food distribution company My Home Food, agricultural and marine products such as mixed grains, Jindo flower crabs, gopchang gim, turmeric nurungji, salted seafood, black rice, and seasoned gim from five companies including Jindo Fisheries Cooperative, Seojindo Nonghyup, Badamul San, Changhae Fisheries, and Duseong Foundation are scheduled to be exported and sold.
Jindo County signed an agreement with My Home Food in Australia for the entry and sale of Jindo agricultural and marine products worth one million dollars.

In June, the county exported about 5 tons of Jindo agricultural and marine products such as Jindo flower crabs, gopchang gim, and Jindo rice to Sydney and Hornsby in Australia for the first time, and promotional discount events are being held at Premium Market and Seoul Mart in Sydney until the 13th.
In particular, it is expected to generate sales of more than $50,000 through this event, receiving great response as an excellent agricultural and marine food product of Jindo by actively promoting through local media advertisements before the event and conducting tasting events at the venue.
The Jindo agricultural and marine products export pioneering team, who visited Australia to promote Jindo agricultural and marine products during the event, plans to continue strengthening its presence in Australia based on mutual trust with companies.
Woo Hong-seop, Deputy Governor of Jindo County, who attended the event, said, "Through this promotional event and agreement, we confirmed the possibility of pioneering new markets for Jindo agricultural and marine products," adding, "With the recent rise in interest in Korean food and culture due to K-culture, we will do our best to increase farmers' and fishermen's income by developing products that satisfy overseas consumers' tastes using excellent Jindo agricultural and marine products and securing sales channels through active marketing."
In the second half of this year, Jindo County plans to export and sell Jindo rice and gim to Mega Mart Atlanta branch in the United States, affiliated with Nongshim.
