‘The 43rd Eunpyeong Awards’ Seeking Proud Eunpyeong Citizens
Candidate Recommendations from August 3 to 18
New Culture and Sports Promotion Award Established This Year, Total of 6 Categories
Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) is accepting candidate recommendations for the ‘43rd Eunpyeong Awards’ from August 3 to 18.
Held in celebration of the 28th Eunpyeong Citizens’ Day, this year’s Eunpyeong Awards will honor recipients in six categories: ▲Filial Piety Award ▲Volunteer Award ▲Entrepreneur Award ▲Beautiful Donation Award ▲Culture and Sports Promotion Award ▲Special Award.
The Eunpyeong Awards have been presented annually since 1981 to recognize residents who have contributed to the development of the local community and enhanced the honor of Eunpyeong-gu. This year, the Culture and Sports Promotion Award has been newly established.
Candidate recommendations can be made by the head of the resident office in the candidate’s jurisdiction, local district council members, heads of institutions and organizations, or individuals (with signatures from at least 10 household heads aged 20 or older residing in Eunpyeong-gu). Applications can be submitted by visiting the Resident Participation and Cooperation Division at Eunpyeong-gu Office or the local resident center.

Eunpyeong-gu will conduct a public evaluation committee review of the candidates and select the final awardees, who will be honored at the ‘Eunpyeong Citizens’ Day’ event held in October. A plaque engraved with the names of the awardees will be dedicated in Eunpyeong Hall (6th floor of the main building of the district office).
