University Student Arrested for Killing Mother Who Scolded Him for Coming Home Late: "Risk of Flight"
A university student who killed his mother with a weapon after she scolded him for coming home late after drinking was arrested.
On the 4th, Yoo Hwan-woo, the chief judge in charge of warrants at the Seoul Southern District Court, held a pre-arrest detention hearing for A (19, male), who is accused of killing a direct ascendant, and issued an arrest warrant, citing "risk of flight."
A is accused of killing his mother B, who was in her 50s, with a weapon at an apartment in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, at around 2:40 a.m. the previous day.
A reportedly committed the crime after getting angry when B scolded him for coming home late after drinking.
A, who was caught in the act, was intoxicated at the time of the crime and is said to be admitting to the charges.
