Busan Office of Education Promotes Survival Swimming and Marine Experience Education
Namhae Regional Maritime Police Agency and Korea Maritime Rescue Association Busan Branch Join Hands
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education has joined hands with the Namhae Regional Coast Guard and the Busan Branch of the Korea Maritime Rescue Association to promote survival swimming and marine experience education.
On the 4th at 2 p.m., the Busan Office of Education signed a business agreement in Meeting Room 1 to activate survival swimming and marine experience education.
Attending the agreement ceremony were Ha Yun-su, Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan Office of Education; Chae Gwang-cheol, Chief of the Namhae Regional Coast Guard; and Lee Ki-tae, President of the Busan Branch of the Korea Maritime Rescue Association, along with other officials.

View original imageAccording to the agreement, the three organizations will mutually cooperate to expand and activate marine experience activities such as survival swimming education for elementary and middle school students in the Busan area and marine environment protection activities.
The three organizations will join forces to efficiently promote and implement the ‘Survival Swimming Education Program,’ which includes practical survival swimming training, survival swimming education visiting schools, and training to strengthen the capabilities of responsible teachers, as well as the ‘Marine Experience Education Program,’ which focuses on raising environmental awareness and protecting the marine environment.
The Busan Office of Education stated that it expects significant effects from this agreement, including the activation of various marine sports experience education, expansion of career experience related to the marine field, and enhancement of students’ awareness of marine environment protection.

Superintendent Ha Yun-su said, “This agreement will serve as a foundation for conducting substantial and professional marine experience education,” and added, “I hope today’s agreement ceremony will be a meaningful occasion to gather strength and wisdom for the healthy and happy future of our children.”
