Jungnang-gu Holds Opening Ceremony for ‘Dingga-dong 4 Beonji’

Jungnang-gu Youth Karaoke and Dance Room 'Dingadong 4 Beonji' Opens

Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeonggi) has newly opened Dingga-dong 4 Beonji in Myeonmok-dong.

Dingga-dong is a youth-exclusive community space unique to Jungnang-gu where young people can freely relax, socialize with friends, and engage in activities. The name carries the meaning of "freely hang out and have fun." Starting with the first location opened in 2021 in Sinnae-dong, a total of five locations are currently operating in Muk-dong, Mangwoo-dong, and other areas. The operation of Dingga-dong 4 Beonji began in May, and by the end of June, it has attracted around 2,000 youth visitors, gaining great popularity.

On the 3rd, the opening ceremony for Dingga-dong 4 Beonji was held. About 40 people, including Mayor Ryu Gyeonggi of Jungnang-gu and youth representatives, attended, and a Youth Operating Committee was appointed to further develop Dingga-dong 4 Beonji into a meaningful space.

Dingga-dong 4 Beonji, with a total floor area of 14,162㎡, is equipped with karaoke rooms, a dance studio, a rooftop stage, and an attic room, located opposite Jungnang Elementary School in Myeonmok-dong. The space layout and interior design reflect the opinions directly provided by the youth who will use the facility.

Dingga-dong 4 Beonji operates from Tuesday to Saturday every week. Operating hours are from 12 PM to 9 PM on weekdays and from 12 PM to 8 PM on Saturdays. It is free for all youth to use. At Dingga-dong, visitors can enjoy various board games, air hockey, and karaoke to their heart’s content, and in the attic room, a space for rest and activities, youth can plan and run their own programs.

Mayor Ryu Gyeonggi of Jungnang-gu said, “Dingga-dong, a space where our 46,000 youth who will brighten the future of Jungnang can freely enjoy themselves and pursue their dreams, has already opened five locations. Following the first location, 5 Beonji, we expect the fifth Dingga-dong, 4 Beonji, to be well managed by the Youth Operating Committee.” He added, “We will continue to do our best to provide various spaces and programs where youth can hang out, dream without limits, and create good memories.”
