Gyeonggi Office of Education Provides Additional 23.9 Billion KRW Support to 101 Private Schools
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will provide an additional 23.9 billion KRW to private schools and private special schools in the province to promote balanced development and prevent safety accidents.
On the 3rd, the Office of Education announced that following the 57.3 billion KRW support provided in April to improve the aging educational environment of private schools, it will additionally support 23.9 billion KRW to 101 schools in the second phase, including 94 high schools and 7 special schools.
The selection of schools for this support was made through on-site inspections, evaluations by the working council, and consultations by the educational environment improvement project selection committee.
The Office prioritized regional and school balance, the risk and urgency of the educational environment, the curriculum, and prevention of school safety accidents.
The main support projects include ▲ LED replacement ▲ heating and cooling system replacement ▲ window replacement ▲ exterior wall improvement ▲ restroom environment improvement, among others.

Park Mi-ok, head of the Private School Support Division at the Office of Education, stated, "Through this project, we hope the educational environment of private high schools and private special schools will become safer and more comfortable," and emphasized, "We will continue to support improvements in students' educational environments by collecting opinions from private schools."
