Wadiz "Top Three Fundings in the First Half of the Year: Fashion, Food, and Home Living"
2023 First Half Crowd Funding Trend Analysis
The three sectors leading the crowdfunding trends in the first half of this year were identified as ‘Fashion,’ ‘Food,’ and ‘Home Living.’ Wadiz announced on the 2nd that the total number of funding open projects in the first half of this year reached 7,294, marking a 143% increase compared to the previous first half.
Based on the number of openings, ‘Fashion & Accessories,’ ‘Food,’ and ‘Home Living’ took the top three spots. The top 10 popular search terms included leisure-related keywords such as ‘camping,’ ‘tent,’ ‘carrier,’ and ‘backpack.’ This is analyzed as a surge in demand for camping and travel due to the endemic situation.
The official merchandise of the popular domestic animations ‘Suzume-ui Mundansok’ and ‘Neoui Ireum-eun’ also attracted attention as hit products in the first half, with 16,831 supporters participating and raising 700 million KRW.
In addition, the offline experience space ‘Gonggan Wadiz,’ operated by Wadiz in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, recorded over 60,000 visitors in the first half alone.
