Golf and Tennis 'The Court & Cart' Select Shop Opens at Busan Branch
Lotte Duty Free announced on the 2nd that it has strengthened its product lineup by exclusively securing the store of the emerging lifestyle brand 'Sporty & Rich' and opening the curated shop 'The Court & Cart.'
During the hot summer season, 'sportscation,' which combines sports and vacation, is emerging as a trend among the MZ generation. This is attributed to a significant increase in people enjoying outdoor sports such as golf, tennis, and hiking after COVID-19. In the second quarter, Lotte Duty Free's sports category sales grew by more than 40% compared to the first quarter.
Lotte Duty Free exclusively launched Sporty & Rich, which is very popular for its easy casual wear, in the domestic duty-free industry on the 1st. Sporty & Rich is a fashion brand founded in 2016 by Emily Oberg, an influencer and former editor at KITH, based in New York, USA, and expanding its presence in global markets including London, UK, Bangkok, Thailand, and Korea. Recently, collections collaborated with global sports brands such as Adidas and Lacoste have attracted attention by selling out immediately upon release in Korea.
Lotte Duty Free set up a standalone Sporty & Rich store on the 8th floor of the Tower Building at Jamsil World Tower. They prepared various products for the 2023 Spring/Summer (23SS) season, including sweatshirts, jogger pants, skirts, and ball caps, and will also showcase the collection collaborated with Lacoste. Lotte Duty Free plans to open an additional Sporty & Rich store at the Busan branch in the second half of the year.
On the 8th floor of Lotte Duty Free Busan, they also opened 'The Court & Cart' curated shop on the 1st, gathering sportswear items such as golf and tennis wear. Visitors can find a total of 15 brands in one space, including golf wear brands like TaylorMade and Mark & Lona, as well as tennis wear popular among young Koreans such as Saturday Leisure Club, No More Bagel Score, Andenw Dance, and Lassi.

Meanwhile, in June, Lotte Duty Free opened a Seoul Fashion Week exclusive zone at its Tokyo Ginza store, showcasing emerging new brands such as Ulkin, BLR Blur, and Ajo by Ajo. In July, it strengthened its fashion category by exclusively securing The Museum Visitor at the Myeongdong main store.
