GC Green Cross 2Q Sales 432.9 Billion KRW... Operating Profit Up 81%
GC Green Cross announced its quarterly sales growth continued despite the impact of competitors re-entering the vaccine market, but reported a decrease in sales on a half-year basis.
GC Green Cross disclosed on the 1st that its consolidated financial results for the second quarter of this year showed operating (provisional) sales of 432.9 billion KRW, operating profit of 23.7 billion KRW, and net profit of 2.7 billion KRW. Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 2.3%, and operating profit rose by 80.9%. However, net profit decreased by 75.2%.

On a half-year basis, sales turned to a decline. Sales for the first half amounted to 782.3 billion KRW, down 6.9% from 840.2 billion KRW in the same period last year. Operating profit fell by 81.6% to 10.1 billion KRW, and net loss was 19.4 billion KRW, marking a return to deficit.
