An Octogenarian Jumps into the Sea at Jindo Uldolmok Sky Walk... Mokpo Coast Guard Searching
The Mokpo Maritime Police Station is currently searching for Mr. A (in his 80s), who jumped into the sea near the weekend market at Uldolmok, Jindo-gun, at around 5:41 PM on the 31st of last month.
According to the Jindo Police on the 1st, a tourist found Mr. A's belongings?wallet, hat, and shoes?near the Uldolmok weekend market and reported that "no person is visible."
In response, the police confirmed through the Panokseon CCTV (closed-circuit television) nearby that Mr. A climbed over the railing at the edge of the Sky Walk and jumped into the sea.
Currently, the Mokpo Maritime Police have dispatched coastal patrol vessels, a police substation rescue boat, a criminal mobile boat, and the West Sea Marine Special Rescue Team to conduct the search.
