Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, will conduct a joint inspection of illegal lodging businesses for one month starting August 1st to create an environment where tourists can visit with peace of mind during the summer vacation season.
This joint inspection will investigate whether lodging facilities such as hotels, rural homestays, and tourist accommodations in Yeongyang-gun violate related laws (Tourism Promotion Act, Rural Development Act, etc.) concerning fire-related firefighting facilities, illegal extensions, and hygiene conditions.
In addition, Yeongyang-gun plans to investigate not only registered lodging facilities but also those suspected of illegal lodging operations to ensure a thorough inspection.
