Osan-si, Comprehensive Survey of Facilities Subject to Traffic Inducement Charges

Targeting facilities with a total floor area of 1000㎡ or more
Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 1st that it will conduct a full survey of facilities subject to the traffic inducement charge for two months from the 2nd to October 4th.
The traffic inducement charge is imposed once every October on facilities that cause congestion, based on the principle of charging the responsible party to alleviate traffic congestion. The charge applies to facilities with a total floor area of 1,000㎡ or more. In the case of jointly owned collective buildings, ownership shares of 160㎡ or more are subject to the charge. The criteria for this year's charge are based on ownership from August 1, 2022, to July 31, 2023.
The city plans to determine the usage period, purpose, and area of the facilities through this full survey, calculate the charge, and impose it in early October. The payment period is from October 16 to 31.

If the facility has not been used for more than 30 days due to special reasons such as temporary closure or vacancy, a non-use report must be submitted to receive a reduction in the charge. The non-use reporting period is until September 8.
