"Relieve Transportation Inconvenience for Flood Victims" ... Gyeongbuk Bus Association Provides 3 Vans for Free
Gyeongbuk Province will expand transportation support to help residents in the northern region, severely affected by heavy rain, recover their daily lives and minimize traffic inconveniences.
This expansion aims to reduce the inconvenience of residents in the affected areas having to use village chiefs' cars for transportation and to prevent traffic congestion when volunteers and others visit the affected areas using private vehicles.
From the 1st to the 15th, for 15 days, Gyeongbuk Province will expand transportation support for residents in flood-affected areas with the assistance of the Gyeongbuk Bus Transportation Association (Chairman Son Jaeheon).
Focusing on the areas hit by the heavy rain, three vans will be provided free of charge to support the transportation of supplies, the movement of residents to temporary shelters, and the convenience of volunteers and soldiers. The three vans include two 25-seaters and one 12-seater.
Between the 22nd and 31st of last month, over 10 days, transportation services were provided for residents in the flood-affected areas, resulting in 71 bus trips transporting 1,475 people, 118 taxi trips transporting 166 people, and inspections of 247 vehicles damaged by flooding.
