Chosun University Hospital Receives 'Grade 1' in Drug Benefit Appropriateness Evaluation
Chosun University Hospital announced on the 31st that it received a 'Grade 1' rating in categories such as antibiotic prescription rate and injection prescription rate in the '2022 Drug Benefit Appropriateness Evaluation' recently released by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service.
The Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service has been conducting the Drug Benefit Appropriateness Evaluation since 2001 to analyze prescriptions of major drugs that have a significant impact on public health, aiming to reduce drug misuse and promote appropriate use to improve national health.
This evaluation was conducted on outpatient prescription drugs, both inpatient and outpatient, from January to December of last year.
Chosun University Hospital achieved Grade 1 ratings with an 'Upper respiratory infection antibiotic prescription rate' of 9.92% (national average 32.36%), 'Lower respiratory infection antibiotic prescription rate' of 15.53% (national average 54.06%), 'Injection prescription rate' of 1.42% (national average 10.77%), and 'Number of respiratory system disease drug items' at 2.83% (national average 4.58%).
