Savings Bank Industry Donates 100 Million Won to Support Flood Victims from Heavy Rainfall
The Korea Federation of Savings Banks recently announced on the 28th that it donated 100 million won to the National Disaster Relief Association to support flood victims caused by the recent heavy rains.
A total of 79 savings banks participated in this fundraising, and the donated funds will be used to provide daily necessities to the affected flood victims and support recovery efforts. The Federation explained, “Due to the nationwide heavy rains causing human and material damage, many flood victims are going through difficult times. We organized this fundraising to help them overcome their hardships quickly and return to their daily lives.”
The savings bank industry fulfills its social role by supporting disaster victims through donations whenever national disasters such as heavy rains and wildfires occur, and this donation was also made based on industry consensus.
