Using After Downloading Smartphone App

Explanation of Audio Tracks and Breathing Techniques by Situation
#You slept from 1:08 AM to 6:24 AM. You used the sleep care feature for 5 hours and 15 minutes. You had deep sleep for 1 hour and 21 minutes. Your sleep score is 47 points.
#Try focusing on your breathing. You might have many distracting thoughts. Your Mind Care score is 58 points. It increased by 10 points from 48 before management.
This is the sleep and mind care score displayed on LG Electronics' sleep and mind management solution application 'Breez(brid.zzz)' used over a week. By downloading the LG Electronics Breez app on a smartphone and wearing the earbuds, the sensors inside the earbuds measure brainwaves to inform you of your sleep and psychological state. The hardware product consists of a charger, earbuds, etc., and the software functions operate through the Breez app on the smartphone.

After opening the app and entering personal information, two menus appear: 'Mind Care' and 'Sleep Care.' Mind Care consists of seven modes: 'When you want to relax,' 'When you can't sleep,' 'When you want to find a new day,' 'When you feel frustrated and distressed,' 'When you feel anxious,' 'Focused breathing therapy,' and 'When you feel depressed or empty.' Each includes situation-specific soundtracks and breathing method explanations. The music themes are 'Mindfulness,' 'Breathing Therapy,' and 'Clearing Thoughts.'
The soundtracks were similar to meditation music. You can set them in 1-minute increments up to 10 minutes. I tried the 3, 5, and 10-minute modes. I used them in a quiet home and a noisy cafe.
Around 1 PM, I turned on Mind Care in a cafe with 18 customers and some low-level white noise. It was hard to hear the sound. Just listening to the soundtracks made it difficult to properly engage in mindfulness, breathing therapy, or clearing thoughts. Using it at home maximized the effect. It wasn’t because the sound was clearer, but because I followed the breathing instructions. Consistent use seemed helpful for living daily life calmly.
Clearing Thoughts was the most useful. Mindfulness and Breathing Therapy felt effective only when sitting properly and regulating breathing. The Clearing Thoughts function helped forget distracting thoughts just by listening to the soundtrack. However, it was effective only if you followed the breathing method instructions for at least 3 minutes.
For Sleep Care, you turn on the soundtrack just before sleeping and press 'Start Sleep Care.' When you wake up, press 'Stop Sleep Care' to get your sleep score. To improve analysis accuracy, I did not use Sleep Care on nights I drank alcohol.
Sleep Care was more useful than Mind Care. Using it properly for just one month could significantly change sleep habits. It informs you of Sleep Care operation time, deep sleep time, sleep latency (time from trying to sleep to actually falling asleep), awakening time (unconscious waking during sleep), and sleep posture. Data is saved automatically. Each time you use Sleep Care, it tells you how much the numbers have changed compared to the previous session. Regarding sleep posture, it is so detailed that if a person sleeping on their back turns their head slightly, it can tell whether they are sleeping on their right or left side.
Sleep Care soundtracks consist of 69 songs across three categories: 'Nature Sound,' 'Meditation,' and 'Artist's Lullaby.' Seven out of the top 10 popular tracks are nature sounds. It almost gives the illusion of doing the trendy 'bulmyeong' (staring at fire), 'mulmyeong' (staring at water), and 'pulmyeong' (staring at grass). It plays sounds of fire, water, and grass that you might hear at a campsite, valley, or grandmother’s rural home. It seemed likely to significantly reduce sleep latency for customers with insomnia. My eyes closed as soon as I started listening.
There were some inconveniences. The earbuds slipped out of my ears during Sleep Care. After waking up, about 1 out of 5 times, they were found on the floor. Customers who toss and turn during sleep might find this somewhat uncomfortable. It could also reduce sleep measurement accuracy. Breez measures brainwaves during sleep to evaluate sleep quality. Dropping the earbuds in the middle could lower accuracy. Both Mind Care and Sleep Care required downloading each soundtrack individually, which consumed a considerable amount of data.
The retail price of Breez is 440,000 KRW. It is more expensive than earbuds like Samsung Galaxy Buds or Apple AirPods. I thought the 'product' Breez has low cost-effectiveness (performance relative to price), but the 'service' Breez is worth buying for 440,000 KRW. If you consider it as a product, you might wonder, 'How is this different from listening to meditation music on YouTube with Buds or AirPods?' But if you consider Breez as a service, it makes you think, 'I should reduce drinking appointments and take one more walk to improve my sleep score.' Improving the score also improves your mood.

Although it lacks the dazzling features of other home appliances, I felt reluctant to return it. Rather than doubting whether Breez properly measures brainwaves, I thought of it as a service that helps improve sleep habits and manage the mind well.
