Gyeonggi Province to Operate 'Gyeonggi Tourism Popup Promotion Centers' in 5 Locations Including Seoul Until November
Gyeonggi Province will operate the 'Gyeonggi Tourism Popup Promotion Center' at five locations nationwide from August 27, starting in Yeongdo, Busan, until November, to directly showcase the excellence of the province's tourism resources.
The Gyeonggi Tourism Popup Promotion Center is a promotional space in the form of a popup store that maximizes the advantages of face-to-face on-site promotion to introduce tourist attractions within the province.
Last year, Gyeonggi Province operated a mobile promotion center using a specially designed vehicle shaped like an airplane in Jeonbuk, Gangwon, Chungbuk, and Gyeongnam.
This year’s schedule for the promotion centers is ▲ August in Seongsu-dong, Seoul ▲ September at Shinsegae Premium Outlet in Yeoju, Gyeonggi ▲ October at the National Sports Festival in Mokpo, Jeonnam ▲ November in Mangwon-dong, Seoul.
The promotion center is designed as a playground concept space that simultaneously showcases Gyeonggi Province’s food, sights, and activities.
It plans to attract visitors’ interest by grouping five themes?local, ecology, stay, nature, and outdoor?under the concept called Gyeonggi-ro Land.
Additionally, experiential programs for visitors will be offered, including augmented reality (AR) experiences that allow indirect interaction with ecological tourist sites in the province; a snapshot game to experience outdoor tourist spots with characters; a workplace horror test and badge-making experience to empathize with workation (a blend of work and vacation); a scratch lottery experience to discover the Gyeonggi Dulle-gil trail courses in a fun way; and a traditional liquor regional matching game to learn about various traditional liquors in Gyeonggi Province, providing enjoyment along with the experience.
