70-Year-Old Man Arrested for Swinging a Weapon at Acquaintance in Apartment Parking Lot: "Risk of Escape"
A man in his 70s who wielded a weapon at an acquaintance in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Gocheok-dong, Guro-gu, Seoul, has been arrested.
On the 26th, according to the police, Judge Kim Ji-suk, who is in charge of warrants at the Seoul Southern District Court, issued an arrest warrant for Lee, a man in his 70s, on suspicion of attempted murder. Judge Kim explained the reason for issuing the warrant, stating, "There is a risk of flight."
Lee appeared at the Seoul Southern District Court on the day to undergo a pre-arrest suspect interrogation (warrant review) and said, "It happened because of an argument," and apologized, saying, "I'm sorry (to the victim)."

Lee is accused of stabbing a woman in her 50s, the victim, with a weapon in the underground parking lot of an apartment in Gocheok-dong at 10:40 a.m. on the 24th and fleeing the scene. Lee wielded the weapon inside the vehicle in which he and the victim were both riding. The victim was seriously injured, underwent surgery, and is currently recovering.
