Dongmyeong University Promotes Global Startup Project Locally in Indonesia
Professors and students from Dongmyung University have attracted attention by completing a global startup project locally in Indonesia and promoting product commercialization.
The SW-Centered University Project Group at Dongmyung University announced on the 26th that the faculty dispatched to the University of Indonesia, a national university in Indonesia, along with seven students, recently successfully completed the global startup project.
The project items included a motorcycle safety auxiliary device and a data processing item using image capture.
They received favorable reviews by presenting the business items prepared in Korea to local fintech experts and conducting detailed market research.
The SW-Centered University Project Group plans to support prototype production and product commercialization of the items after market research, and the participating students are currently in the process of business registration.

Furthermore, the project, which has been prepared since October last year, is emphasized to have great significance in supporting the global expansion of startup talent development, presenting exchange and cooperation models with local students, resolving wealth inequality between countries, and promoting industrialization in the local country.
Kim Min-jun, Director of the SW Industry-Academia Convergence Center, said, “We will utilize Dongmyung University's startup clubs to directly interact locally and create a foundation for jointly solving global problems.”

Previously, President Jeon Ho-hwan, the director of the SW-Centered University Project Group, and the head of the planning office discussed student exchange and exchange programs in Indonesia and signed an MOU between the two universities to accelerate the investigation of the local startup environment and development potential.
