Hwasun-gun Supports Production of High-Quality Agricultural Products by Supplying Useful Microorganisms
Annual Free Supply of 700 Tons of 8 Types of Agricultural and Livestock Microorganisms and BM Activated Water
On the 26th, Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it is receiving great response from farmers by providing useful microorganisms and BM activated water free of charge throughout the year to produce high-quality agricultural and livestock products during the farming season.
The useful microorganisms produced by the county include a total of 8 types: 5 types for agricultural use (Bacillus subtilis, lactic acid bacteria, yeast, photosynthetic bacteria, Chlorella) and 3 types for reducing livestock odor. More than 220 tons of useful microorganisms are mass-cultured annually and supplied free of charge to local farmers.
In addition, BM activated water produced in a circulation system utilizing the symbiotic relationship between Bacteria, Mineral, and Water contains large amounts of enzymes and hormones, making it effective for crop growth and reducing livestock odor, with an annual production of 480 tons.
In 2021, it was registered as an organic agricultural material and is being expanded and distributed to farms practicing eco-friendly agriculture.
Hwasun-gun also conducts quality inspections through specialized institutions in the first and second halves of the year to expand microorganism supply and ensure quality control.
They focus on producing and managing high-quality microorganisms by measuring viable cell counts and contamination levels more than twice a month independently.
Farmers who wish to receive useful microorganisms should bring their farmland register or agricultural management registration certificate, and livestock headcount confirmation (traceability system) to visit the Eco-friendly Microorganism Cultivation Room at the Agricultural Technology Center.
