Guro-gu Provides Relief Supplies to Goesan and Yecheon Counties Affected by Heavy Rain
Guro-gu, Seoul (Mayor Moon Heon-il) has provided support by delivering relief supplies to Goesan-gun, Chungbuk, and Yecheon-gun, Gyeongbuk, which suffered significant damage from heavy rains. Both regions are sister cities of Guro-gu.
On the 28th, Guro-gu delivered relief supplies worth approximately 20 million KRW, including water, cup noodles, wet wipes, toiletries, and blankets, funded by donations collected from employees and sponsorship from the Guro Hope Welfare Foundation. The Guro-gu Residents' Autonomy Committee also provided goods worth about 2 million KRW.
Mayor Moon Heon-il said, "It pains me that our sister cities, with which we have exchanged visits through festivals and other events, have been affected by the flood damage. I hope this support, though small, will help with a speedy recovery."

Guro-gu established sister city relationships with Goesan-gun, Chungbuk in 2008 and Yecheon-gun, Gyeongbuk in 2011, and previously provided donations and supplies to these sister cities affected by floods in 2017 and 2020.
