Reading platform Millie’s Library (CEO Seo Young-taek) announced on the 26th that it has published the e-book standalone edition of the humanities psychology popular book "Why Do I Keep Blaming Myself?" by psychiatrist Heo Gyu-hyung as a Millie Original.
Dr. Heo Gyu-young, operator of the YouTube channel ‘Brain Rich People,’ upgraded and presented the series "A New Mindset and Perspective Starting Today," which was serialized 20 times over 5 months on Millie’s Library since 2022. The book received favorable reviews for explaining specialized psychiatric theories in an easy and entertaining way based on medical field experience and everyday stories. Within three days of release, it recorded about 7,000 additions to personal libraries and 1,100 one-line reviews. Starting in August, it will also be offered as multi-content in various formats such as paper books, audiobooks, docent books, and object books.

Kim Tae-hyung, head of the publishing business division at Millie’s Library, said, “Millie’s Library has a definite advantage in quickly gauging readers’ reactions, making it easier to discover potentially successful content,” adding, “We confirmed the potential of the ‘serialize first, publish later’ trend again this year following last year.” He continued, “We will strive to develop diverse reading content with different appeals, including securing original IP as well as e-books, paper books, and audiobooks.”
