National Museum of Korean Contemporary History, Special Exhibition on the 70th Anniversary of the ROK-US Alliance Until October
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History will continue to hold special exhibitions that review the history of the Korea-US alliance on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Korea-US alliance and the 70th anniversary of the armistice. In September, an exhibition summarizing the 70 years of the Korea-US alliance is scheduled to be held.
The special exhibition "Let's Go Together We Go Together," which opened last April, is gaining attention as an opportunity to look back on the 70-year history of the Korea-US alliance. On weekdays, about 2,000 people, and on weekends, about 3,500 domestic and foreign visitors come to the exhibition hall. Mr. Jo Yong-il, who viewed the exhibition, said, "It was a great opportunity to see what kind of history existed between our country and the United States. It is truly proud and gratifying to realize that our country, which was in ruins after the Korean War, has now become one of the world's top 10 economic powers."

On September 22, an exhibition summarizing the 70 years of the Korea-US alliance will be presented, focusing on the process of signing the Korea-US Mutual Defense Treaty and the Korea-US cultural alliance.
Additionally, various events and projects will be continuously promoted from the Korean War armistice declaration day (July 27) to the signing day of the Korea-US Mutual Defense Treaty (October 1). On August 19, an educational program titled "Sharing Korean War Stories with Families," on September 22, a comprehensive academic conference on the 70th anniversary of the Korea-US alliance, and lectures in September and October aimed at future generations to explore the direction of exhibitions on modern Korean history will be held. Separately, the development of cultural products including restored items such as the original constitution and the Korea-US Mutual Defense Treaty will also be pursued.
